"The National Heritage Ministry has taken steps to design its Deyata Kirula main exhibition stall outlet as a replica of the ancient Yapahuwa Fort," National Heritage Ministry Senior Additional Secretary Vijitha Nanda Kumara said.
"A special moonstone will be exhibited at the National Heritage Ministry stall at the Deyata Kirula National exhibition," he said.
"The National Heritage Ministry stall at the Deyata Kirula National Exhibition was created as a collaborative effort of all Departments and institutions under the National Heritage Ministry," he said.
These institutions are the Archaeological Department, the National Archives Department, the National Museum, Galle Heritage Foundation and Janakala Kendraya, he said.
"People can get a clear insight of the country's national heritage from the Deyata Kirula Exhibition," he explained.The National Museum will exhibit a model of a rocket and very important artefacts. Galle Heritage and Janakala Kendraya will also hold special exhibits.
"Painting workshops for schoolchildren will also feature at the Deyata Kirula exhibition site," he said.
"Significant discussions on archaeology and national heritage will be held during the period of the Deyata
Kirula National Exhibition," Kumara said.
